Problem Description: Execute Thread Count Full

Solution/Workaround:

  • Open WebLogic Admin Console
  • Go to the server for which the Default Execute Thread filled up
  • Go to “Monitor all Execute Queue”
  • Check for “Idle threads” count
  • If it is showing “Zero”, and application is running slow and the IdleThread count is “Zero” forlong (say 5 min)
  • Only option is to restart the server instance. (If there is a weblogic cluster, restart the managed servers one by one so that there is no business downtime)
